Goodland, KS. (05/10/2018) – Northwest Kansas Technical College’s 53rd annual graduation ceremony is set to take place on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 1:30pm in the Max Jones Fieldhouse. Over 150Maverickgraduatesare expected to fill the auditorium, ready to start a new chapter in their life.
Christopher Fulwider, a former graduate of Northwest Tech, is the anticipated keynote speaker for the event. This year, Fulwider was presented with the 2018 Outstanding Maverick Alumnus award.
Chris Fulwider grew up in Brewster, Kansas where he attended school K-12. Fulwider went on to attend Fort Hays State University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Criminal Justice. In 2007 he attended Northwest Kansas Technical College where he received his Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy. Since graduating from the Respiratory Therapy Program Fulwider has gone on to become a Certified Asthma Educator and a Sleep Disorders Specialist. Fulwider now works at Goodland Regional Medical Center as the Director of the Respiratory Therapy, Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab, and the Sleep Lab department. Fulwider continues to reside in Goodland with his wife and 3 children.
Northwest Tech is celebrating over 150 graduates. Those graduating include students from 16 different states and 14 different countries.
